Rates, Payments, and Policies
Mediation fees are charged on a fixed fee per party basis for each full-day or half-day session.
Full-Day Mediation
$1,400
per party
A full-day mediation session typically runs from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A party is defined as all individuals represented by the same attorney or law firm.
If the mediation exceeds 8 hours, an overtime rate of $250 per party per hour will apply.
Half-Day Mediation
$1,200
per party
Half-day sessions are scheduled from either 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
If the mediation extends beyond 4 hours, an overtime rate of $250 per party per hour will apply.
Fees Due in Advance
Mediation sessions will not begin until all fees have been paid in advance. Payment may be made by Zelle, check payable to The Overton Law Firm, P.C., or wire transfer by arrangement.

Cancellation Policy
Ten calendar days’ advance written notice is required to cancel or reschedule. Without timely written notice, the cancelling party is responsible for 50% of the total fee as a cancellation or rescheduling charge.

Mediation Agreement Required
All parties must execute a Mediation Agreement before commencement of any mediation session. The agreement addresses confidentiality, the mediator’s role, fees, and the voluntary nature of the process.
Additional Expenses
Occasionally it may be necessary to incur expenses for large, multi-party, or complex cases, including larger hearing rooms or additional caucus rooms. Such expenses will be identified and disclosed in advance and agreed to by all parties prior to invoicing.
