Basic Estate Planning
Basic estate planning is about identifying your assets, estimating
their values, and making a reasonable prediction as to whether your
assets will be subject to the Estate Tax, as well as drafting fundamental
documents such as a Will. Documents prepared in the course of basic
estate planning might include:
- An Estate Plan Record
System that tabulates all of the assets and liabilities of your
estate
- A simple Will appointing a Guardian where appropriate
- Appropriate Powers of Attorney
- A Directive to Physicians
- A Revocable Living Trust and Pour Over Will
- Anatomical Gift Forms
